Job summary

MyStaff is seeking a construction estimation professional to leverage AI in driving accurate residential cost estimates for homebuilding projects. The role involves validating AI outputs, reading blueprints, and collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to improve model accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of residential estimating experience, a CM/engineering degree, and strong analytical and communication skills to document feedback for technical teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years residential homebuilding estimating experience, knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and pricing trends.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret architectural plans, and comfortable using AI tools to evaluate and correct automated outputs.
• Strong analytical skills & critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication to document feedback for technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural plans and specs to produce accurate cost estimates for homebuilding projects.
• Validate and correct AI-generated estimates against market pricing and historical data.
• Partner directly with product and data teams as well as the engineering group to create workflows and improve model accuracy.
• Ensure all estimates meet high standards of accuracy while embracing AI.
