Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced Datacenter Product Application Engineer in Austin to work directly with key customers across cloud, enterprise, and AI segments. You will bring next-generation AMD Instinct accelerators to market, guiding bring-up, validation, and test methods while collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex hardware/software issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience with PCIe standard and PCIe-based hardware development.
  • Familiarity with high-speed I/O signals, power and performance analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with customers.
  • Hands-on technical problem solving at hardware-software interface.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage technical interactions with key customers to enable deployment of AMD Instinct Accelerators.
  • Support bring-up and validation of AMD Instinct GPUs in customer systems; guide customers on AMD tools and test methods.
  • Lead debugging of customer-reported hardware/firmware issues with cross-functional teams; drive root-cause analysis.
  • Develop manufacturing/screen tests to ensure reliability at scale; understand customer schedules and gaps to close them.
  • Author design guidelines, technical presentations, and training material; provide recommendations to improve customer experience with SW/HW.
