Job summary

Bain & Company seeks a Full-Stack TypeScript Engineer for AI product experiences across the PE due diligence ecosystem. You'll work at the intersection of product engineering and applied AI, blending TypeScript frontend with Python orchestration and data services.

Expect to build end-to-end AI features, collaborate with product/design, and ensure reliable, observable production systems. Hybrid in-office presence required one day per week in the U.S. and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience building production software, including full-stack applications and/or AI-enabled systems.
• Strong TypeScript proficiency for full-stack work with frontend and backend responsibilities.
• Experience with Python in production and integration with TypeScript-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end AI product features across TypeScript frontend, TypeScript/Node.js backend, and Python AI orchestration layers.
• Develop analyst-facing AI interfaces for deal screening, due diligence, document extraction, and portfolio monitoring.
• Create frontend experiences in TypeScript using modern frameworks for streaming AI responses and structured outputs.
• Maintain backend services powering AI features and data access (Postgres).
• Implement full-stack patterns for chat, copilot, workspace, and review-based AI experiences with robust error handling.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and domain stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into user-friendly interfaces.
• Design end-to-end type-safe contracts between TS frontends and TS/Python backends.
