Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a software engineer specializing in AI-driven transformation. You will join a diverse engineering team to solve cutting-edge problems across industries, working on end-to-end AI applications, tooling, and integration for client projects.

The role emphasizes hybrid work with in-office presence required at least 3 days per week, collaboration with global product and engineering teams, and a focus on building scalable, production-grade code and RAG pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or a related technical field is required.
• 2+ years of experience with micro-service API development (RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC).
• 1+ years of experience with AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of development best practices (automated testing, CI/CD).
• Experience with AI/LLM systems and prompt engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help clients improve AI-assisted or AI-led maturity across people, process, and technology.
• Design, develop, and document AI applications aligned to business outcomes.
• Develop and optimize LLM-powered applications using prompting and model routing.
• Build scalable AI systems and participate in full SDLC including testing and reviews.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deploy production-quality code for clients.
