CAKE.com is seeking a Frontend Engineer with deep expertise in React or Angular to join our AI-native engineering team. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with product managers and designers, and shape scalable web architectures while leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency.

You should have 5+ years of software development, 3+ years in React or Angular, and a product-minded approach to delivering user-centric interfaces and robust frontend systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• 3+ years with React or Angular and strong TypeScript, HTML, CSS skills.
• Ability to think beyond code—focus on user needs and product usability.
• Experience using modern AI development tools to boost productivity.
• Designing scalable frontend architectures and writing unit/integration tests.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, NPM) and JWT.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale high-performance frontend applications and reusable component libraries using React or Angular.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into intuitive, user-centric frontend experiences.
• Actively use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate workflows, write tests, refactor code, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Write clean, modular TypeScript code and contribute to CI/CD and frontend build pipelines.
