Brown & Brown seeks a Financial Operations Audit AI & Automation Specialist to join our Maitland, FL team. You will lead modernization of the FOA function, blending internal audit expertise with data analytics, automation and AI-enabled auditing techniques to improve efficiency and coverage.

You will manage audit engagements, mentor junior staff, advance FOA methodologies, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 4+ years in internal audit or related assurance.
• Experience modernizing audits with AI, automation, and continuous auditing.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
• Solid accounting knowledge and ability to apply it to reviews.
• Ability to manage multiple audits and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; CPA/CIA preferred or pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Execute financial and operational audits per approved plans.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of controls including SOX/ICFR.
• Draft audit observations, recommendations, and assist with reports.
• Apply data analytics and automation to planning and testing.
• Use Power BI, Excel/Power Query, and AI tools for analysis.
• Partner with stakeholders to communicate objectives and results.
• Support remediation tracking and follow-up of findings.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to methodologies.
