Job summary

Garner Health, LLC in New York City seeks an exceptional Engineering Manager for the Business Productivity team. You will lead a team embedding AI into core workflows and report to the VP of Platform Engineering.

Based in NYC, you must work in the office three days per week (Tue–Thu). You will partner with business units to ship features end-to-end, delivering measurable productivity gains and secure, high-quality services.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
• 2+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience building web applications and APIs on cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar).
• Strong ownership and proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to partner with non-technical business stakeholders and translate their workflows into effective technical solutions.
• Experience thriving in a startup or other fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team through coaching, authentic feedback, and hiring.
• Partner closely with internal business units to identify high-leverage opportunities and ship features end-to-end that deliver measurable employee productivity gains.
• Drive the delivery of AI-native solutions.
• Own core services and ensure secure, high-quality, and reliable experiences in a fast-moving environment.
• Balance quality with delivery speed, identify bottlenecks, and clearly communicate tradeoffs across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
• Set technical direction across the team’s roadmap and its three bets: AI adoption, employee efficiency, and foundational improvements.
