Job summary

Houston ISD is seeking a Sr. Lead Engineer, Applied Intelligence Integration to serve as the lead technical architect for AI/ML and complex software initiatives, translating strategic vision into scalable system architectures that meet K-12 operational and compliance needs.

You will design end-to-end solutions combining enterprise data, automation, tools, and full-stack apps, set API patterns and CI/CD practices, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure secure deployments across cloud

Qualifications

• Lead engineer with AI/ML or integration project experience.
• Strong cloud, security, and DevOps fundamentals.
• Ability to translate strategy into scalable architectures.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture for AI/ML and complex software initiatives.
• Architect end-to-end solutions integrating enterprise data, automation, and full-stack applications.
• Define API design patterns and CI/CD best practices for secure cloud-native deployments.
