Quota Crushers Agency - Sales Recruiters in Austin, TX, seeks a Principal Architect, AI & Developer Productivity to lead the design and deployment of AI-powered engineering tools across a large software portfolio.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a track record deploying AI-assisted development tools that boost productivity, software quality, and cycle time. Hybrid work model: 2–3 days in office; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, engineering, developer productivity, or enterprise technology.
• Proven experience deploying AI-assisted development tooling across multiple engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with at least two tools such as GitHub Copilot Enterprise, Cursor, Claude Code, Kiro, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, prompt design, RAG, model evaluation, cost optimization, and AI security.
• Deep experience with modern CI/CD platforms and cloud-native architecture.
• Strong background in APIs, distributed systems, observability, and developer platforms.
• Ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and communicate effectively with executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement an enterprise-wide AI-assisted development platform.
• Architect workflows across coding, code review, testing, security, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Evaluate and implement tools such as GitHub Copilot Enterprise, Cursor, Claude Code, and similar platforms.
• Build model and vendor-agnostic architecture to reduce platform lock‑in.
• Establish AI security, IP protection, data leakage prevention, and governance standards.
• Measure developer productivity, software quality, cost, and ROI.
• Manage AI tooling costs, token usage, and vendor strategy.
• Partner with engineering, product, security, legal, compliance, and procurement teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders on AI-assisted development.
