Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing skincare brand, is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to own end-to-end demand forecasting across D2C and wholesale channels. This role will translate market signals, promotional calendars, and retail partner data into accurate forecasts that keep supply chain lean and customers stocked. This role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, operations, and finance—you will be the connective tissue that turns commercial plans into actionable inventory decisions.
Demand Planning Manager responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve SKU-level demand forecasts across all channels—D2C (Shopify), Amazon, TikTok Shop, Target, and wholesale/distributor accounts—over an 18-24 month rolling horizon at the SKU/month/customer level.
- Lead the monthly S&OP / demand review process; present forecast assumptions, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional leadership.
- Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to quantify the demand impact of launches, promotions, influencer campaigns, and seasonal trends.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning to align production schedules, lead times, and safety-stock targets with the demand plan.
- Monitor sell-through, weeks-of-supply, and fill-rate KPIs.
- Manage demand inputs in NetSuite (or equivalent ERP), ensuring master data integrity and forecast accuracy metrics are tracked and reported.
- Analyze POS and marketplace data from Target, Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, and TikTok Shop to refine channel-level forecasts.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) with launch forecasts grounded in analog analysis, pre-order data, and retailer commitments.
- Monetize the volume demand plan into a revenue forecast, incorporating wholesale pricing, promotional discounts, and channel-specific margin structures.
Demand Planning Manager Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of demand planning or supply chain planning experience, preferably in beauty, skincare, CPG, or wellness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system for demand/inventory planning.
- Strong working knowledge of Shopify analytics and at least one major retail channel (Target, Amazon, or TikTok Shop).
- Solid understanding of S&OP, statistical forecasting methods, and inventory management principles.
