Job summary

Modius is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to drive the technical sales of Modius OpenData across enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale data center markets. You will be the primary technical resource for the field sales team, owning product demonstrations, solution architecture, and pre-sales throughout the full sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, EE or related field.
• 5–7 years in sales engineering or pre-sales in data center/OT software.
• Strong knowledge of DCIM, data center operations and energy metrics.
• Experience designing technical demos and solution architectures.
• Excellent communication for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Architect OpenData solutions with AE input to meet prospect needs.
• Deliver customized demonstrations highlighting AI analytics and ROI.
• Create technical proposals with diagrams and deployment plans.
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements and manage timelines.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate content.
• Advise on DCIM implementation, OT/IT integration, PUE.
• Build relationships with data center engineers and IT leads.
• Conduct discovery calls and on-site assessments.
• Collaborate with sales for account strategies.
• Stay current with DCIM trends and industry standards.
• Provide feedback to Product Management.
• Represent Modius at industry events.
