Job summary

Greystar is seeking a DataOps Engineer to join the Data Marketplace (DMP) team. This deeply technical, hands-on role is at the core of Greystar’s enterprise data infrastructure, operating a Databricks-native medallion architecture on Azure.

You will own reliability, scalability, and observability across the DMP platform, using AI as a first‑class part of DataOps. You will also own the deployment lifecycle across dev, staging, and production, with strong CI/CD discipline and collaboration with

Qualifications

• 7+ years of DataOps, data engineering, or platform engineering in a production environment.
• Expert-level Databricks experience: Delta Live Tables, Jobs/Workflows, Unity Catalog, Spark tuning.
• Strong command of Azure data services: ADF, ADLS Gen2, Monitor, Key Vault.
• Proven production use of AI in DataOps or data observability workflows.

Responsibilities

• AI-Driven DataOps & Observability: implement AI-powered observability and anomaly detection.
• Azure Infrastructure & Integration: manage ADLS Gen2, ADF, Monitor, Key Vault, and Event Hub.
• Databricks Platform Engineering: build and optimize pipelines with DLT, PySpark, Workflows, and Jobs.
• CI/CD & Environment Deployments: end-to-end deploys with GitHub Enterprise and Linear for sprint planning.
• Data Quality & Governance: instrument DQ checks across medallion layers and enforce data contracts.
