Job summary

University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure track Lecturer or Assistant Professor-in-Residence in Cybersecurity starting July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity courses while advancing integration of AI concepts, tools, and applications throughout the curriculum.

The standard teaching load is four courses (12 credits) per semester during the academic year, with potential summer teaching

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to start date.
• Ph.D. in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity courses, incorporating AI technologies.
• Develop and update curriculum, assignments, and materials emphasizing AI-enabled security concepts.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career development.
• Support program assessment and accreditation activities, including data collection and analysis.
• Participate in service and contribute to NSA CAE program initiatives.
