Job summary

Opply is seeking a Customer Operations Partner to manage a portfolio of customer accounts from onboarding to steady-state operation in a hybrid Chicago in-office setting. You will prompt and improve AI agents, while directly engaging with customers and suppliers to drive smooth operations.

You will influence credit decisions, negotiate terms, and maintain compliance, with a focus on AI-driven automation and continuous improvement within a scaling, VC-backed environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in roles coordinating multiple stakeholders and processes (Customer Success, Operations, Account Management, Purchasing, Logistics).
• Familiar with AI tools (Claude or ChatGPT) in day-to-day work; able to point to a workflow or automation built.
• Experience or exposure to food, consumer goods, or supply chain/logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the named point of contact for a portfolio of customer accounts from onboarding through steady-state operation.
• Understand each account's nuances—suppliers, credit position, quirks—to anticipate problems.
• Handle inbound queries on orders, deliveries, payments, and the platform; flag and resolve bugs.
