Job summary

McFadyen Digital seeks a Solution Architect to design AI-powered ecommerce and marketplace platforms for Fortune 500 clients while guiding McFadyen’s internal AI initiatives. You’ll architect scalable commerce solutions and set the vision for AI adoption across the business, solving complex problems at the intersection of commerce, data, and AI.

The role requires deep platform experience, hands-on AI/ML design, and ability to travel within the USA.

Qualifications

10+ years in solution/technical architecture for ecommerce or marketplace platforms.
Proven sales engineering experience with enterprise web tech, including scoping, estimation, RFP/SOW work.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with executives and tech teams.
Deep expertise in at least one major commerce platform (Adobe Commerce, commercetools, Shopify, Mirakl, SFCC, SAP Hybris).
Hands-on AI/ML design experience (recommendation, NLP, LLMs) in production environments.

Responsibilities

Own technology solutioning for ecommerce and marketplace prospects, translating requirements into integrated solutions.
Craft proposals, ROI statements, and demos; write scope, assumptions, requirements, and technical SOWs.
Collaborate with delivery to estimate staffing and timelines and create cost models.
Advise clients and cross-sell services such as data management, AI enhancements, and cross-channel solutions.
Evaluate emerging AI/ML tech to enhance McFadyen's offerings and internal delivery capabilities.
