Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Fulton, MD to support AWS and GCP core services, develop automation, and drive AI-driven improvements. You will manage cloud-native services, implement IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/Deployment Manager, and contribute to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years supporting AWS & GCP core services (compute, networking, identity, storage, monitoring, security).
• 3+ years building automation with Python, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Deployment Manager), APIs, and orchestration tools.
• 3+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, managed services, or platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand cloud architecture to identify root causes.
• Build automation and AI-driven workflows to reduce repetitive work.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code to support consistent deployments.
• Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation.
