Job summary

Marlabs in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ seeks a highly experienced Forward Deployment Engineer to design, build, deploy, and optimize mission-critical software solutions for customers.

You will bridge customer needs with engineering teams, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions and leading successful production deployments. Strong cloud, data, and API skills, plus excellent communication, are essential, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, consulting, or deployment experience is required.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong SQL and data engineering experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with customers to understand business processes and deployment requirements.
• Design and implement customized software solutions using modern cloud-native technologies.
• Deploy and optimize AI, machine learning, data, and enterprise applications in customer environments.
• Build APIs, integrations, automation workflows, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership to influence product direction based on customer feedback.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across cloud, application, networking, and infrastructure layers.
• Lead customer workshops, architecture reviews, and technical discovery sessions.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and production-grade solutions.
• Drive adoption of AI, analytics, and automation technologies.
