Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking a senior capacity planner to build and maintain rolling forecasts for cloud capacity across CSPs, regions, and workloads. You will translate demand from sales, product, and engineering into actionable supply plans and collaborate with CSPs to secure reservations and reduce waste.

You will mentor peers, introduce AI-enabled forecasting tools, and drive improvements in forecast accuracy, lead times, and cost efficiency across global regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, supply chain, data analytics or related field with 8+ years of related experience, or a master's degree with 6+ years.
• Experience in cloud or infrastructure capacity planning with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, incl. quotas and reservations.
• Experience building demand forecasts and scenario models.
• Experience building reports and dashboards.
• Experience with FinOps or finance teams on cloud cost management and reservations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain rolling capacity forecast by CSP, region, workload and resource type.
• Compare demand with available supply and collaborate with CSPs on reservations.
• Coordinate with sales, product, engineering and FinOps on lead times and costs.
• Mentor fellow capacity planners and introduce AI-enabled planning tools.
• Measure success by sharper forecasts and on-time deliveries.
