Job summary

Cisco Systems seeks a senior Capacity Planner to build and maintain rolling forecasts for cloud capacity across CSPs, regions, workloads, and resource types. You will align demand with supply, coordinate reservations with CSPs, and partner with Sales, Engineering, and FinOps to optimize costs and timelines.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in cloud or infrastructure capacity planning, experience with AI-enabled forecasting, and strong stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, supply chain, data analytics or a related field.
• Master's degree can substitute for experience per policy and is preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience building demand forecasts and scenario models.
• Experience building reports and dashboards.
• Experience working with FinOps or finance teams on cloud cost management and reservations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a rolling capacity forecast by CSP, region, workload and resource type.
• Compare demand from sales pipeline, bookings and product roadmaps against available supply.
• Coordinate with CSPs on reservations to ensure on-time capacity with minimal spend.
• Mentor fellow capacity planners and introduce AI-enabled tools to speed up planning across regions.
