Job summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead the statewide security modernization efforts for a client partner, driving an AI-accelerated, continuous authorization and DevSecOps posture. You will advise the CISO and senior stakeholders, and build internal capabilities while enforcing the updated Flaw Remediation (SI-2) standard across a large federated environment.

The role offers a 100% remote work model with occasional onsite visits, and requires Wisconsin residency or relocation

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience advising CISOs or senior leaders in large/public sector environments.
• Proven track record mentoring infrastructure/security teams and upskilling staff.
• Experience operationalizing security controls, tiering models, and risk governance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to executive leadership including the CISO/CIO.
• Lead statewide implementation of the Flaw Remediation (SI-2) standard.
• Build internal capability and institutionalize AI-accelerated security postures.
