Job summary

Arete Associates is hiring for a hands-on IT Business Systems developer in the Falls Church, VA area with remote options. You will design, build, and deploy internal apps, automate business processes, and integrate ERP, PLM, HR, and engineering systems using modern languages and AI-assisted development.

You will work closely with end users and leadership, provide demonstrations and training, and ensure secure, scalable solutions in Azure with CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3+ years building and supporting business applications, integrations, or automation.
• Proficient in at least one modern language and able to read code you didn't write.
• Experience developing with AI coding agents and validating agent-generated code before shipping.
• Experience deploying apps in Microsoft Azure and using CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy internal applications and automation solutions from requirements to production.
• Use AI coding agents as a primary tool while ensuring security, maintainability, and documentation.
• Build and maintain integrations between ERP, PLM, HR, engineering, and SaaS systems via APIs.
• Provide post-deployment support and write technical documentation.
• Collaborate with end users, process owners, and leaders, and train users on new applications.
