Job summary

Moultrie, a Birmingham, Alabama-based leader in game feeders and developer-focused AI innovation, seeks an AI Development Advocate to scale AI-driven developer productivity. You will own end-to-end strategy for transitioning software teams to an AI agent-first model, acting as an internal DX lead for engineers.

You will build tooling, provide hands-on support, and design onboarding programs while measuring adoption and impact across the engineering org.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with modern engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in professional settings.
• Proficiency in Java, .NET, or similar languages; able to guide production-quality code.
• Experience delivering technical talks, workshops, or training to developers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and integrating AI services into pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define organization-wide strategy for AI agent-first development and adoption milestones.
• Build internal tooling, reference implementations, and proof-of-concept AI workflows.
• Provide hands-on support to engineering teams facing AI tooling challenges.
• Design AI onboarding plans and guide teams through rapid capability evolution.
• Develop feedback loops between teams and leadership to address blockers.
• Grow an internal AI Champions community to scale enablement.
• Define and track AI adoption metrics across teams and tooling usage.
• Identify high-value AI use cases in the SDLC for code generation, review, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor AI tool ecosystems and stay current with agentic frameworks and tooling trends.
• Own AI governance and cost controls, including licensing and spend visibility.
