Job summary

Swingtech is seeking an AI Developer to design and build secure, accessible AI-enabled applications, APIs, and workflow automations for agency missions.

You will implement LLMs, RAG pipelines, and document intelligence, ensuring 508/WCAG compliance with 3 onsite days at a Washington, DC customer site. A BA/CS and 3+ years in AI/full‑stack development are required, with strong Python/JS skills and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS, SE, IS, or related).
• 3+ years in software development, full-stack, API development, or cloud-native work.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; knowledge of Java/C#/other modern languages is a plus.
• Experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), Git, automated tests, CI/CD, and modern dev practices.
• Experience integrating AI/ML, LLM APIs, RAG, NLP, or AI-enabled capabilities.
• Familiarity with secure-coding and application security principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional agile environment.
• Willingness to work 3 onsite days at a customer site in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack AI-enabled applications, APIs, microservices, dashboards, and integrations.
• Implement capabilities using LLMs, RAG pipelines, NLP, and AI workflows.
• Build backend services integrating with models, vector stores, data platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Create accessible interfaces meeting 508/WCAG 2.1 standards.
• Implement human-in-the-loop controls and audit trails for AI systems.
• Ensure outputs are grounded with citations and appropriate user controls.
• Develop secure, testable code with CI/CD and reviews.
• Support security controls, prompt-injection defenses, and audit logging.
• Create documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer artifacts.
• Contribute to production monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
