PlanetScale is seeking a Software Engineer to own the AI tooling and developer experience around MCP server, CLI, plugins, and integrations. You will work across API surfaces, docs, demos, and public content to show developers how to build with PlanetScale and AI tools.

You’ll test across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and VS Code, improve tooling, and share leadership through blogs, talks, and videos. This hands-on role combines engineering, content, and public voice.

Competenze

• Experience building MCP server, plugin, or SDK used by developers.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, OAuth, and command line.
• Software engineering background in TypeScript and Go.

Mansioni

• Build and maintain plugins and integrations for AI marketplaces and directories.
• Test the MCP server and CLI across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, VS Code and other clients, catching regressions.
• Create demos, docs, blogs, and videos to show best practices with AI tooling.
