Job summary

PlanetScale is hiring a Software Engineer to spearhead end-to-end AI tooling integration for developers. You will work on plugins, agent integrations, and maintaining MCP server and CLI, ensuring smooth experiences within Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and VS Code.

You will collaborate with teams across MCP, API, and docs, shaping the future of AI-enabled databases and infrastructure, while advocating best practices and robust tooling.

Qualifications

• Software engineer with TypeScript and Go experience.
• Comfort with APIs, OAuth and command line tools.
• Experience building or integrating developer tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the PlanetScale plugins for AI marketplaces and directories.
• Own integrations with AI coding tools and agent frameworks.
• Test MCP server and CLI across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and VS Code.
