Job summary

August Schell Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an AI Delivery Engagement Lead to sit at the front edge of an Intelligence Community customer's adoption of commercial AI.

This role blends engineering credibility with client-facing delivery, owning the relationship and translating mission needs into platform capabilities. The position requires on-site work in McLean, VA, and an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, plus willingness to travel about 25%.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
• Experience working with government customers and navigating approvals.
• Technical foundation in CS/engineering or data science.
• Willingness to work on-site in McLean, VA and travel ~25%.
• Ability to translate mission requirements into technical scope for engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communication for engineers and government leadership.

Responsibilities

• Scope AI and agentic-workflow use cases with mission customers and shape them into deliverables.
• Own end-to-end delivery for those use cases: requirements, sequencing, coordination, and status updates.
• Lead cross-functional teams spanning platform engineering, data operations, and government stakeholders without formal authority.
• Serve as the customer's primary point of contact and manage onboarding and risk surfaces.
• Translate mission requirements into technical scope and communicate constraints to leadership.
• Work hands-on with data operations, evaluation, and production-time model plumbing as needed.
• Identify patterns for standardization and expand a one-off delivery into repeatable motion.
• Grow the account by finding adjacent use cases and expanding to a program.
