Job summary

Hexion seeks an AI Project & Operations Manager for Smartech AI. This hands-on senior contributor leads end-to-end technology programs, aligning Platform, IT, R&D and Customer Delivery to accelerate pilot deployments into scalable launches.

You will coordinate global teams, manage KPIs and dashboards, and use tools like Azure DevOps or Jira to drive execution while communicating risks and decisions to engineers, field teams, and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing complex technology projects from initiation through delivery.
• Proven success coordinating planning across multiple engineering teams with measurable results.
• Experience recovering at-risk projects with clear plans and stakeholder alignment.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps or Jira delivery tools.
• Experience deploying manufacturing software in plant environments (MES and MOM/MOS).
• Ability to design business rhythms, planning cycles, decision logs and action tracking.
• Proven KPI and dashboard development used by executives.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly commitments across engineering, R&D and customer delivery with scope, schedules, risks and reporting.
• Lead coordinated planning across technical teams, translating priorities into executable plans with owners.
• Identify at-risk initiatives early and implement recovery plans with stakeholder alignment.
• Establish operating cadence for planning, reviews, decisions and follow-through.
• Build and maintain executive KPIs and dashboards for delivery visibility.
• Design processes and playbooks to support repeatable customer launches at scale.
• Coordinate Platform, IT, R&D and Customer Delivery for cloud data architecture and deployment.
• Coordinate globally distributed data science and modeling teams across time zones.
• Partner with customer success managers to support mill connectivity and value realization.
• Use Azure DevOps or Jira to ensure transparency and accountability across workstreams.
• Communicate complex delivery issues and risks clearly to engineers, field teams and leaders.
• Continuously improve operating model from lessons learned to future launches.
