Job summary

The MISO Summer Internship Program in Carmel, IN invites graduate students in AI, CS/Tech, Computer Engineering, or Data Science to join a production-focused team for summer 2027. You will work on real AI and software projects, from early prototypes to production-ready tools using Python, GitHub, cloud platforms and modern AI frameworks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a graduate degree in AI, CS/Tech, CS/E, or Data Science.
• Strong Python, GitHub, and AI framework familiarity.
• Interest in cloud infrastructure, networking, observability and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Work on real AI and software projects from early prototypes to production-ready tools using Python, GitHub, cloud platforms, and modern AI frameworks.
• Support AI-enabled workflows such as data pipelines, automation, LLM/RAG agents, observability dashboards, or pilot features that test ideas safely.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and emerging-tech specialists to refine requirements and evaluate performance.
• Attend community events, intern socials, and development programming to grow professionally and understand MISO's mission.
• Wrap up the internship with a final presentation summarizing project work and impact.
