Job summary

MISO invites students to join the 2027 Summer Internship Program in Carmel, IN or Eagan, MN, pursuing Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or Public Policy. You will analyze trends, study load growth, and support long-term planning with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

Pursuing Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related degree.
Strong analytical thinking and interest in strategy, policy, market dynamics, or risk assessment.
Experience with data analysis tools and dashboards is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze trends, load growth patterns, and emerging risks to support MISO's long-term planning.
Refine data inputs and compare regional trends to build meaningful takeaways for decisions.
Contribute to forecasting and strategic analyses for grid reliability and planning.
Attend community events, intern socials, and development programming.
Deliver a final presentation summarizing project work, recommendations, and impact.
