Job summary

MSD is seeking a Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer, or AI Product Manager to join the AI capability engineering team. You will drive product discovery for NLP and Generative AI, translate research into reliable services, and work with data scientists, developers, and domain experts to accelerate drug discovery.

You will gain hands-on exposure to LLM systems and have opportunities to own products, including leading discovery, gathering requirements, and engaging stakeholders to drive adoption.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, AI/ML Engineering, Agentic AI, AI Product Management, or related discipline.
• Experience drafting technical requirements and defining success metrics.
• Ability to translate complex data science concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Equitable practical experience may substitute for formal degree.

Responsibilities

• Product Discovery & Stakeholder Alignment: understand pain points and translate needs into user stories.
• Backlog & Roadmap Prioritization: own product backlog and plan deliveries.
• Requirement Specifications: write clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and value capture plans.
• Adoption & Change Management: demonstrate features, run enablement sessions, gather feedback, measure adoption.
• Exploratory Data Analysis: analyze structured and unstructured data to address needs.
• Pipeline Integration: collaborate with Data Engineering to productionize prototypes into pipelines.
