Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a senior data leader to own Data Trust and Governance within the Data Infrastructure and Strategy team of CAS.

You will set standards for data quality, observability, lineage, metadata, and semantic clarity to enable reliable analytics and scalable AI-driven solutions. You will collaborate with engineering, analytics, product, and operations to ensure data correctness, contextuality, and explainability for humans and AI systems, while driving adoption of

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of analytics-focused experience with extracting insights and summarizing key findings.
• Experience establishing and operationalizing at least two core data governance functions: data quality, observability, lineage, metadata or MDM.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.

• Data Quality & Trust: establish and enforce high data quality standards and trust.
• Analytics & AI Data Foundation: govern the canonical data foundation for analytics and AI.
• Data Observability: define freshness and reliability standards with system controls.
• Master Data & Semantics: govern master data, metadata, definitions, semantics, and context.
• Metrics & Lineage: govern metric definitions, lineage, and source traceability.
• AI Readiness: enforce analytics- and AI-ready data standards for AI systems.
• Governance & Adoption: establish ownership, stewardship and accountability.
• Shift-Left Governance: embed governance into data design and modernization.
