Eight Eleven Group is seeking an AI Data Engineer for a contract role (through year-end, with probable extension). The position is remote (CST/EST) with a pay rate of $60-65/hr, focused on building AI agents that help customer service reps surface information and guide next steps during calls.

Formación

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on AI/ML development experience, including LLMs and traditional ML models.
• Experience with Chatbots, Conversational AI, and NLP solutions.
• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks (MCP or similar) and Strands Agents.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• 4+ years of Web and API development.
• 4+ years of cloud hosting (AWS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of security, access controls, logging, monitoring, and production ops.

Responsabilidades

• Drive responsible AI/ML adoption across the team, including Generative AI and traditional ML techniques.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve AI-powered software to meet customer and business needs.
• Build responsible AI solutions and components to support healthcare providers, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance.
• Develop new AI features including Generative AI models, predictive analytics, and automation.
• Provide technical leadership for AI initiatives, including chatbots and conversational AI solutions.
• Partner with product management, architects, and engineering leadership to deliver scalable AI solutions for healthcare challenges.
• Align AI solutions with enterprise AI strategies and ensure business value and engineering best practices.
• Ensure high-quality software deliverables and operational excellence.
• Mentor and train team members on AI/ML technologies and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with broader teams to integrate AI into cloud modernization and digital-first initiatives.
• Exercise independent judgment to prioritize, plan, and manage AI-related activities and projects.

Summary:

This AI Data Engineer will support this initiative, building AI agents that help customer service reps make faster, more accurate decisions during calls. The goal is for reps to focus entirely on the conversation while AI automatically surfaces the right information and recommends next steps for patient or provider inquiries. These engineers will help build and optimize the data and intelligence behind the AI agents so they can understand call context and provide reliable answers. Ultimately, the initiative is designed to reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and create a better customer experience.

Job Duties:

• Drive responsible use of AI/ML adoption across the team, driving innovative use of both Generative AI and traditional ML techniques.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve AI-powered software solutions to meet customer and business needs.
• Build responsible AI solutions and service components to support the Provider community, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Develop new features leveraging AI/ML, including Generative AI models, predictive analytics, and automation capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for AI initiatives, including Chatbots and conversational AI solutions.
• Partner with product management, architects, and engineering leadership to deliver creative, scalable AI solutions for healthcare challenges.
• Drive alignment with enterprise AI strategies and ensure solutions meet business objectives and engineering best practices.
• Accountable for high-quality software deliverables and operational excellence.
• Mentor and train team members on AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and responsible AIpractices.
• Collaborate with broader engineering teams to integrate AI into cloud modernization efforts and digital-first initiatives.
• Exercise independent judgment to prioritize, plan, and manage AI-related activities and projects.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience building AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, Generative AI, and traditional ML models
• Strong experience with Chatbots, Conversational AI, and NLP-based solutions
• Strong experience with Agentic AI (MCP or similar agent orchestration frameworks) and Strands Agents
• Strong experience in Python or Java
• 4+ years of experience with Web and API development
• 4+ years of experience hosting applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Strong knowledge of security, access controls, logging, monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and production operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in the healthcare industry.
