Job summary

Experis is hiring a Data Analyst 1 (AI Data Engineer) to support Applied Sciences teams in Redmond, WA on a 100% onsite basis. In this role, you will help keep OCR processing running smoothly, strengthen data quality for AI training readiness, and maintain clean, well-organized datasets that downstream teams can rely on.

You’ll monitor the OCR pipeline, ensure data quality, and coordinate with Azure storage and processing tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree plus 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data operations, data quality assurance, or dataset management.
• Experience with cloud storage, including file organization and uploads/downloads.
• Experience evaluating data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and metadata quality.
• Ability to use dashboards, processing tools, and logs to monitor workflows and investigate exceptions.
• Familiarity with PDF, text, CSV, and JSON formats.

Responsibilities

• Monitor OCR pipeline processing, track queues, job status, and batch completion.
• Review OCR outputs against source documents using sampling and quality criteria.
• Maintain dataset metadata, inventories, and versioning for AI model training.
• Coordinate Azure file operations, including uploads, downloads, and transfers.
• Support reprocessing by documenting issues and escalating technical risks.

In this role, you will help keep OCR processing running smoothly, strengthen data quality for AI training readiness, and maintain clean, well-organized datasets that downstream teams can rely on.

What you’ll do

• Monitor existing OCR pipeline processing, tracking processing queues, job status, completion rates, and any failed or stalled batches.
• Review generated OCR outputs against source documents using sampling and established quality criteria.
• Maintain accurate dataset metadata, inventories, and dataset versioning so datasets stay complete and organized for AI model training.
• Coordinate Azure file operations, including uploads, downloads, and transfers of source files and generated datasets, verifying completion, file counts, and integrity.
• Support reprocessing operations by documenting issues, escalating technical risks to engineers, and maintaining operational trackers and dashboards.

What you bring

• B.S. degree plus 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data operations, data quality assurance, or dataset management.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud storage, including file organization and uploads/downloads.
• Experience evaluating data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and metadata quality.

Schedule and pay

This is a Monday to Friday schedule with 40 hours/week and no estimated overtime. Rate is USD 37 to 40 per hour.
