Job summary

Amphenol Corporation is seeking a Field Application Engineer for Power Interconnects to support AI server and HPC applications across North America. You will bridge customers, sales, and product teams to ensure high-density power interconnect solutions meet evolving AI hardware needs.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in connector design or power electronics, experience with rack power distribution and cooling, and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering; Master's preferred.
3–7 years in connector design, power electronics, or hardware integration.
Experience in AI data centers, rack power distribution, cooling, or server platform engineering is preferred.
Customer-facing or field engineering experience required.
Involvement with industry standards (OCP, PCIe) a plus.

Responsibilities

Support AI and data center customers in design and integration of power interconnects.
Translate specifications into interconnect designs with internal teams.
Provide technical leadership in power delivery standards and participate in working groups.
Drive innovation in high-current, low-resistance, reliable connector technologies.
Partner with sales during design-in and qualification phases.
Conduct field validation, testing, and troubleshooting at customer sites or labs.
