Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking a Solution Architect (Fiber) to design high-density fiber and structured cabling for large AI data centers.

You will translate customer requirements into scalable physical designs and BOMs, collaborating with sales, engineering, and field delivery to ensure repeatable deployments. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in data center fiber, GPU cluster connectivity, InfiniBand, Ethernet fabrics, and QA/QC documentation, with strong customer-facing communication and

Qualifications

5+ years designing fiber, structured cabling, or data center infrastructure.
Experience with AI data centers, GPU clusters, and high-density fiber; knowledge of 400G/800G links.
Strong ability to interpret designs, port maps, and customer standards.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture for fiber and cabling solutions for AI data center programs.
Translate requirements into physical layer designs, BOMs, and implementation specs.
Design high-density fiber architectures for GPU clusters and data center fabrics.
Develop rack-to-rack, row, zone, meet-me-room cabling architectures.
Define fiber types, connectors, polarity, patching, labeling, pathways, and cable management.
