Job summary

SpaceX in Memphis seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Technician (AI Supercomputer) to ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT and RCRA compliance while supporting data center goals. You will perform boots-on-the-ground safety oversight, manage hazardous waste, and assist in developing site safety policies.

This role requires hands-on work, strong organization and the ability to work overtime or weekends when needed. Experience with emergency response, spill prevention, and recordkeeping is valued; ITAR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing aspects related to an environmental, health and safety program.

Responsibilities

• Perform boots on the ground safety oversight by identifying and correcting workplace hazards and unsafe conditions
• Monitor employee exposure to job and chemical hazards as regulated by OSHA permissible exposure limits
• Assist in the implementation and compliance of site-specific safety policies
• Assist in the creation of job hazard analysis and PPE assessments
• Perform department specific safety surveys using inspection forms to ensure employees are utilizing safe practices
• Ensure notification and corrective actions are put in place when any unsafe condition is presented or found throughout the site
• Assist the EHS engineers in accident/mishap investigations when necessary
• Perform tasks related to RCRA regulatory hazardous waste handling, storage and disposal requirements
• Monitor and manage levels of hazardous waste at each department’s satellite accumulation area
• Ensure all waste is properly labeled and stored
• Accurately record hazardous waste logs and inspections
• Assist in waste shipments with the waste disposal contractor
• Perform weekly storm water inspections per SWPPP
• Implement spill prevention and SPCC plan across the facility
• Conduct environmental compliance and due diligence audits
