Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Technology Architect to lead end-to-end solution design across core banking systems, data, and AI capabilities.

You will translate business requirements into scalable designs and collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and enterprise architects to ensure architecture standards are met. Responsibilities include building scalable data pipelines, defining non-functional requirements, and driving automation across the development lifecycle while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.
• At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution design across core banking systems, data, and AI capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into clear, scalable solution designs.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment with standards.
• Design scalable batch and real-time data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and streaming across data lakes and OLTPs.
• Define and drive non-functional requirements including resiliency, performance, scalability, and failure handling.
• Develop reference architectures, reusable patterns, and blueprints, validating designs hands‑on.
• Drive automation architecture across build, testing, deployment, infra, monitoring, and operations.
• Evaluate technologies and vendor solutions for alignment with enterprise platforms.
