Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking a Data Center Manager to oversee operations and a team responsible for maintaining our AI compute infrastructure. You will manage power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments to sustain peak efficiency and uptime, while guiding technicians and coordinating with AI specialists and vendors.

You will drive sustainable, scalable operations with a focus on incident response, process improvement, and cross-team collaboration to align with SpaceXSI's mission.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center operations or similar critical environments.
• 3+ years of people management / team leadership.
• Experience with server hardware, cabling, and data center technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Site Operations to ensure 99.999% uptime for AI compute systems.
• Lead and develop a team of Data Center Operations Technicians.
• Manage hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, and inventory management.
• Coordinate between technicians, AI specialists, and external vendors.
• Champion energy-efficient practices and sustainability efforts.
• Track uptime and power metrics to inform decisions.
• Lead the team through emergencies to protect AI systems.
• Refine processes, including preventative maintenance and Jira ticket workflows.
• Standardize best practices across sites to support growth.
