Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced Compliance Officers to evaluate AI-generated compliance content and workflows, applying deep knowledge of laws, regulations, and licensing standards. You will assess quality, compare regulatory rigor, and provide enforcement-focused feedback.

The role requires about 20+ hours per week for a 4–6 week project, with task-based payment initially and potential hourly pay for the remainder of the engagement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in compliance roles such as Compliance Officer, Compliance Analyst, Compliance Manager, License Examiner, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, or related positions.
• Experience examining, evaluating, or investigating eligibility for laws, regulations, licenses, or permits, including preparing findings and enforcement reports.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated compliance assessments, regulatory analyses, licensing reviews, and enforcement artifacts for quality and accuracy.
• Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on regulatory rigor, evidentiary soundness, and enforcement reasoning.
• Review compliance scenarios involving eligibility determinations, license and permit reviews, violation reporting, and regulatory recommendations; provide expert feedback.
