Job summary

Ampcus Inc in Chantilly, VA seeks an experienced AI Coding Tools & Pilots Consultant to drive evaluation, deployment, adoption, and optimization of AI-powered coding tools across engineering teams.

You will bridge engineering, AI platform teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to scale AI development solutions; focus on productivity, pilot execution, DevSecOps, and user enablement with strong communication and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, SWE, Data Science, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software engineering, developer enablement, platform engineering, DevOps, AI consulting, or related technical roles.
• Experience evaluating and implementing developer productivity tools and enterprise platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and Generative AI technologies.
• Strong SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern development environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-powered coding tools and developer productivity platforms for enterprise adoption.
• Configure, deploy, and optimize AI coding assistants within development environments.
• Assess tool capabilities, security requirements, integration options, and business value.
• Support implementation of AI coding solutions across multiple engineering teams.
• Define best practices and standards for AI-assisted software development.
• Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilot programs, and technology assessments for emerging AI solutions.
• Develop pilot objectives, success criteria, evaluation frameworks, and adoption strategies.
• Monitor pilot performance and provide recommendations for scaling or improvement.
• Document lessons learned, risks, and implementation recommendations.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases.
• Onboard developers to AI coding tools; deliver demos, trainings, and guides.
• Promote prompt engineering and AI-assisted development techniques.
• Drive user adoption through engagement and continuous improvement.
• Configure AI platforms, integrations, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security to implement AI solutions.
• Support CI/CD integration, access management, governance controls.
• Ensure AI tools meet security/privacy/compliance requirements.
• Participate in monitoring, maintenance, and support.
• Assist with release planning and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues; coordinate with vendors and teams.
• Monitor adoption metrics and tool performance.
