- Develop and maintain a clear, role-based AI capability framework for lawyers and Business Teams, with meaningful proficiency levels and observable capability expectations.
- Translate developments in AI, legal practice, client expectations and the firm's digital strategy into prioritised learning and development requirements.
- Maintain a firm-wide view of existing AI learning and development, identifying gaps, overlaps and opportunities to reuse or improve content.
- Design a modular curriculum that can be adapted across program, regions, practices and audiences.
- Embed responsible use, professional judgement, verification, information handling and appropriate human supervision throughout the curriculum.
- Establish a regular process for reviewing and refreshing the framework as tools, risks, workflows and business priorities evolve.
Learning and development design, and delivery
- Lead the design and delivery of firm-wide HLC Lead & Learn AI learning and development curriculum; including developing role-relevant pathways for partners, associates, Business Teams and people leaders.
- Create or commission practical learning and development on prompting, critical evaluation, supervising AI-supported work, workflow redesign, automation and agents.
- Translate internal use cases into exercises, demonstrations, playbooks, prompts, toolkits and reusable assets.
- Apply evidence-informed adult-learning and curriculum-design principles to create engaging, accessible and practical experiences.
- Work with facilitators and regional colleagues to build delivery capability and maintain quality at scale.
Program integration
- Partner with program owners to embed relevant AI capabilities across the firm's core learning and development portfolio, including but not limited to onboarding and practice specific activities.
- Support the redesign of learning and development so that AI is applied to each program's substantive objectives rather than added as a separate technology topic.
- Build clear links between programme outcomes, AI capability expectations, practical application and follow-up resources.
Stakeholder partnership and market insight
- Facilitate structured conversations to identify priority skills, emerging use cases, learner needs and barriers to adoption.
- Advise stakeholders on the learning and development implications of new tools, workflows and AI-enabled ways of working.
- Monitor relevant research and market developments in AI capability, legal education and professional learning and development.
- Evaluate external content and providers, recommending where the firm should curate, commission, partner or build internally.
Evaluation and continuous improvement
- Define success measures for the AI curriculum, including reach, progression, application, confidence, behaviour change and stakeholder outcomes.
- Use learner feedback, assessment evidence, platform data and stakeholder insight to improve the curriculum.
- Work with Digital L&D colleagues to report clearly on provision, coverage, capability gaps and priorities.
- Support the development of a sustainable global operating model for AI learning and development.
Desirable
- Experience embedding capability development into career, leadership or professional-development program.
- Experience with legal AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, workflow automation or other enterprise AI tools.
- Experience establishing learning and development measures that go beyond attendance and satisfaction.
- Experience commissioning or managing external learning and development providers and content partners.
- A relevant learning, organisational development, coaching, change, digital or technology qualification.
Manager/Senior Manager calibration
- Manager: able to independently design and run the curriculum, manage senior stakeholders and deliver through established governance.
- Senior Manager: able to set enterprise-wide capability direction, influence senior strategic decisions, lead complex global integration and establish the longer-term operating model.

Significant experience in learning and development, capability building, curriculum design, organisational learning or a comparable discipline.
