Job summary
LatchBio is seeking an AI Biologist to join the Medical Countermeasures team, advancing AI-driven benchmarks for vaccines, antibodies, and antivirals against respiratory viruses. You will be the scientific authority on ground truth, shaping tasks and data interpretation for complex biological workflows.
You will write gold-standard answers from raw data, curate diverse data types, and ensure AI outputs reflect expert judgment and robust uncertainty handling.
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience in vaccine/antibody or antiviral development, preferably respiratory viruses
- Deep expertise in vaccines/antibodies or antivirals: design, mapping, evaluation, or resistance concepts
- Proven data analysis and ability to set gold-standard answers from raw data
- AI-ready: comfortable using Claude/ChatGPT with scientific judgment
Responsibilities
- Turn real countermeasure workflows into tasks with clear gradable answers
- Write gold-standard answers from raw data with appropriate tolerances
- Curate data types: neutralization, epitope maps, serology, and sequences
- Test whether AI agent outputs align with expert reasoning and identify when to overturn outputs
