Job summary

Power Design is seeking an AI Innovation Engineer to lead practical AI initiatives across BIM and VDC workflows in our building design and construction projects. You will build, test and deploy AI tools that automate model checks, data extraction and estimation-related tasks.

The role emphasizes hands-on AI development, collaboration with BIM/VDC teams, and delivering measurable outcomes. A background in Python and BIM platforms is highly valued, with a focus on real production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years software or data engineering experience with 1–3 years hands-on AI/LLM work
• Hands-on AI engineering: LLM apps, retrieval, agents, prompts and tooling
• Exposure to BIM tech in construction/MEP, experience with Revit, Navisworks or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Create AI solutions for business use: agents, skills, retrieval, automation
• Apply AI to BIM and VDC workflows, automate model checks and data extraction
• Collaborate with BIM/VDC, preconstruction and field teams to turn problems into AI solutions
• Evaluate and integrate modern AI tooling and run rapid trials
• Share best practices and coach teams implementing AI solutions
