Job summary

Sun Life offers a hybrid Spring 2027 co-op in Wellesley, MA, January 4, 2027 – June 18, 2027, with 1–2 days in the office per week. This full-time co-op is designed to explore AI, automation, data analytics, and process improvement within Operational Risk.

You will work with leaders across Third-Party Risk Management, Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management to implement practical, enterprise-wide solutions that reduce manual effort and strengthen risk practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, automation, process improvement, or digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization of Operational Risk programs using AI, automation, data analytics, and process improvement.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve user experiences.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to improve decision-making and oversight.
• Collaborate with leaders across TPRM, Operational Resilience, BCP, Crisis Management.
• Create knowledge assistants, self-service tools, and documentation to enable efficient operations.
