Client in Westerville, Ohio is seeking a visionary and technically skilled AI Architect to lead the architecture design, development, and delivery of Generative AI solutions within the client's Global Product Development Organization (GPDO). This individual contributor role in a lead capacity is responsible for defining scalable and effective Generative AI architectures and platforms that serve multiple business domains and use cases across the enterprise. The AI Architect will operate within the Digital organization and play a central role in advancing the client's Operational Excellence and Innovation strategic priorities by translating complex business requirements into production-ready AI systems that accelerate engineering velocity and deliver measurable business impact.
Essential Functions:
- As a technical leader, this role is responsible for architecting AI solutions using advanced techniques such as retrieval augmented generation (RAG), transformer architectures, and multi-agent systems, while integrating seamlessly with GPDO's modern front-end tooling ecosystem — including JavaScript (JSX), React 19, Tailwind CSS 3, shadcn/ui, and Lucide React — built on React Context + hooks for state management, Craco for build tooling, and Yarn as the package manager.
- The AI Architect will champion the adoption of Large Language Models such as OpenAI GPT-4, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and Meta Llama 3, evaluate and govern AI frameworks including LangChain and Llama Index, and serve as the client's subject matter expert on enterprise Generative AI strategy.
- This position partners closely with data scientists, software engineers, and cross‑functional business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Generative AI Architecture & Design: Lead the architecture design of enterprise Generative AI solutions using advanced techniques such as retrieval augmented generation (RAG), transformer architectures, vectorization and embeddings, and multi‑agent architectures to accommodate large‑scale, complex business use cases across the organization.
- 2. LLM Development & Deployment: Develop and implement applications using advanced Large Language Models such as OpenAI GPT-4, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and Meta Llama 3, overseeing fine‑tuning, evaluation, and deployment to ensure compliance with best practices in Generative AI and machine learning.
- 3. Front‑End AI Integration: Architect AI‑powered features and interfaces within GPDO's modern front‑end ecosystem — JavaScript (JSX), React 19, React Router 7, Tailwind CSS 3, shadcn/ui components, and Lucide React — ensuring seamless integration between AI backends and React Context + hooks‑based state management layers.
- 4. AI Framework Governance: Evaluate, select, and govern Generative AI technologies, tools, and frameworks — including LangChain and Llama Index — to attain the required performance, precision, and scalability, while establishing standards and documentation for approved AI tooling across engineering teams.
- 5. AI Pipeline & Workflow Engineering: Construct and maintain end‑to‑end Generative AI workflows incorporating data cleansing, pre‑processing, model training or fine‑tuning, feedback loops, and production monitoring, ensuring seamless deployment in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
- 6. Engineering Metrics & Performance Optimization: Define, instrument, and evaluate Large Language Model performance metrics for scalability, efficiency, and accuracy, providing leadership with data‑driven insights to guide AI investment and improvement decisions.
- 7. Technical Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct code assessments, provide technical mentorship to engineering team members, and document AI design choices and technical specifications for reference and knowledge dissemination across the organization.
- 8. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, software engineers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to align AI architecture decisions with enterprise requirements, security standards, and business priorities, serving as a trusted subject matter expert on Generative AI strategy and implementation.
