Job summary

SAS is seeking a Technical Writer to create and refine documentation for advanced AI and analytics software. You will craft guides, API docs, and videos, with AI-assisted authoring and sample content for complex configurations and business scenarios.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product, security, and professional services teams in a fast-paced, governance-focused environment that values adaptability and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a technical/quantitative field.
• Five years of professional experience as a technical writer or four years in a related domain plus one year of writing experience.
• Experience with Markdown, DITA, XML, or Acrolinx and with GitHub, Git, Confluence, or Jira.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes; experience using AI for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce, review, and manage documentation across usage, administration, UI messages, API docs, and videos.
• Develop meaningful examples for target audiences and refine content for AI-assisted authoring.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and support teams to gather inputs and meet quality targets.
• Ensure security policies are followed and align content with SAS guidelines.
