Position Overview

Jacobs is seeking a data scientist with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, and large language models (LLMs) to support AI initiatives across various sectors for both government and private clients. The role is remote within the U.S., with potential for hybrid work depending on proximity to Jacobs offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of AI, GenAI, and LLM solutions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain digital AI solutions; educate and promote these solutions internally and externally.
• Collaborate across markets, business units, and geographies.
• Create presentations and technical reports for stakeholders.
• Innovate and scale new AI and digital solutions.
• Engage in strategic discussions and advocate for AI initiatives with leadership.
• Support and maintain existing AI tools and platforms.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and conference submissions.
• Travel occasionally within North America for meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• 2-5 years of consulting or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering, or similar.
• Proficiency with AI, GenAI, LLM tools (e.g., OpenAI, Copilot, Palantir).
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, R, SQL, TypeScript.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in relevant fields.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), data management, GIS, CAD, and engineering workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on skills and experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), stock options, paid time off, holidays, and performance bonuses.
