Job summary

MemeLabs, Inc. is hiring an AI Algorithmic Trader to design systematic trading strategies and build the evaluation loop that lets AI learn from results. You will test ideas, oversee backtests, and progressively move successful bots to paper and then live deployments with strict risk controls.

You will collaborate with a small team to document decisions, maintain systems, and mentor researchers as the project scales.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and running systematic trading strategies with live results.
• Strong Python; readable code, APIs and automated tests.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents and LLM tooling.
• Experience with backtesting, out-of-sample testing and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Design systematic trading strategies with entry, exit, sizing and kill rules.
• Build and manage the self-improvement loop for AI trading.
• Create repeatable backtests with realistic fills, fees and slippage.
• Evaluate AI market model against baselines and controls.
• Run paper and live bots with appropriate risk controls.
• Ensure secure, dependable systems and robust monitoring.
