Job summary

Avalara is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Agentic Programs Lead to build, govern, and scale the shared AI agent fleet across Revenue Marketing. This Director-level, individual-contributor role focuses on designing, building, and orchestrating agents that scale GTM output and impact, partnering with GTM, Product, Growth, and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

8+ years in B2B SaaS marketing technology, marketing operations, or AI/automation engineering.
Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents or LLM-powered workflows, including prompt engineering and integrations.
Strong fluency with core marketing platforms and how agents plug into them.

Responsibilities

Own the roadmap and prioritization for the shared agent fleet across core pillars.
Build, test, and deploy agents across the fleet including monitoring and optimization.
Establish QA, monitoring, and guardrails to ensure reliable production-scale operation.
Define and enforce standards for agent accuracy, reliability, and responsible operation.
Partner with multiple teams to embed agents into workflows and enable adoption.
Track adoption, ROI, and continuously optimize the agent fleet.
