Elevance Health is seeking a Distinguished Engineer - AI Adoption in Chicago to accelerate enterprise AI adoption, evaluate emerging technologies, and design reusable frameworks. You will lead hands-on engineering efforts across cloud platforms, APIs, and distributed systems while partnering with business units to translate problems into AI-enabled solutions.

You will mentor teams, define patterns, and establish guardrails for responsible AI deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 15 years in software engineering with distributed systems and large-scale architectures.
Experience designing, developing, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud/DevOps practices.

Responsabilités

Lead enterprise AI adoption by partnering with business units and engineering teams.
Translate business problems into AI-enabled solution designs, including LLM apps and automation.
Evaluate vendors, platforms, models, and tools through hands-on testing and assessments.
Create decision matrices and scorecards for tool selection based on use-case fit and security.
